Willem, a Celebrity

Willem, the dutch cycler, we first met in Wyoming just south of Pinedale, has become a local celebrity as he appeared in an article of the Dijk en Waard newspaper: Willem in the News.

This is very different from our experience. When we first met our neighbors after 4 months of biking, they just said: “Haven’t seen you much lately!”.

He was also invited to a Podcast: Post on Willem’s Blog.

The picture where he sits in the shade of the cow camp in the Great Divide Basin was taken by me. Willem always prepared 0.5 l of coffee in the morning. But in the Basin one could hardly find any shade to enjoy a cup.
